I'd like to clarify the RPG area rules a bit better
Rules
You may start or join a roleplay at any time. I ask that each member "owns" or "starts" only one rpg game at a time, and s/he may begin another once that game has "ended". You may be involved in as many as you like, although I would imagine more than two would be quite difficult to manage
The owner or beginner of an rpg thread creates a new topic and posts the name/title of the RPG in the title box and posts how many member they need. Only 10-2 can be in one RPG game, ten being maximum and two being minimum. They must also post a sign-up form. Look in Suggestions for examples. Once the owner has enough members, a NEW THREAD is to be created to begin the storyline.
Suggestions
The first thing a creator needs to do for an RPG thread is to create a sign up post. The following is a bad example of a sign-up form:
Name:
Character Name:
Character Age:
Character Pic/Doll:
Forms should be much more specific. According to the type of RPG, something like "species", "description", "marital status", "occupation", etc etc would be needed in a form. The volunteer also needs to be very specific in their answers.
During an RPG, words between asterisks (*) or double colons ( : : ) usually mean an action and are used as such in an RPG game.
Example: *laughs* or ::laughs::
When talking out of character, it is also a good idea to put the statements between double parenthesis.
Example: ((so what should I do now?))
Please reply here with any questions or suggestions!
